After brief residences in Phoenix, AZ; Holyoke, MA; Vancouver, BC, Canada, and Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the couple located back to Southeast Iowa, where Henderson was hired to the newly created position of Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

During her five years as Director, Henderson twice won the highest honor presented for marketing by the Iowa Hospital Association and served as a Vice President of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce. During her term, she succeeded in securing items from Mt. Pleasant’s Centennial celebration to be flown aboard the maiden voyage of the space shuttle Atlantis and attended the launch.

Often times dark and provocative, these qualities, he feels, engage his clients to study, ponder, and reflect upon his art. Memory haunting in its style, his black and white fine art portraiture is the reason he is so often sought after. The power of teaching is a belief that bears a great deal of significance in Jim's life. Along side his busy photographic schedule; he invests a great deal of time with his fellow photographers.
